London has many more secret treasure than the typical monuments we’re used to seeing. If you’ve visited London for a short amount of time, you probably didn’t get the chance to see some of the most interesting places in the city. We’re going to share some secrets about London with you which you have probably never heard about before. London’s unique hiding places

Hindu temple in London

London is home to the biggest Hindu temple outside of India, Neasden Temple. It was built by volunteers which materials from Bulgaria. We would recommend that you visit before 11am because from 11.45 the religious ceremonies begin. To enter you must remove your shoes, wear a headscarf and don’t wear skirts or large bags.
The closest underground stop is Neasden which is a 15 minute walk. Entry is free.
The rolling bridge
The rolling bridge is based in Westminster and it’s one of the most original bridges you could find. It was designed by Thomas Heatherwick and to see it in motion, come by on a Friday at 12pm.
Neal’s Yard

Strolling through Convent Garden in London will bring you to places like these. Neal’s Yard is a colourful square in the heart of London. This hidden gem stands on against the common grey skies in London. Inside you can find health food stores, began restaurants, offices and interesting shops.

There are millions of bars in London and we’re sure you will love most of them. But the bathroom in this particular pub is especially peculiar. The innovative design is especially unique and strange toilet pods make your bathroom experience almost as interesting as your meal. The restaurant serves delicious meals in the Mayfair district in London.


Leadenhall Market

This London market dates back to the 14th century, and previously was a roman market until the great fire of London in 1666. Some scenes in the Harry Potter films were shot here and you can enjoy a drink, food or buy some fresh produce on your visit. Located in Gracechurch Street.
The Japanese Gardens

Kyoto Gardens are some beautiful Japanese gardens in the centre of London. Between the upmarket shops and restaurants there is a hidden oasis of tranquillity. All the elements have been carefully selected to reflect a Japanese garden. It was built in 1992 for the Japan Festival in London.
They are situated inside Holland Park and the closest underground stop is Holland Park.
St Katherine’s Dock

Next to one of the most visited places in London, Tower Bridge, you can find St Katherine’s Dock. This is a small pretty harbour on the River Thames which dates back to the 18th century. In this quaint corner you can find cafes, shops, luxury homes and restaurants. The Dicken’s Inn is a lovely affordable pub and ex beer factory serving delicious meals and ales.
Soho’s Ears and Noses
Have you ever seen all 7 of the noses in Soho? You may never have noticed but there are 7 noses hidden around Soho and if you find them all it is said you’ll have good fortune. They were made by Rick Buckley in protest to the surveillance cameras placed around London. Alongside these noses you can also find ears in Soho which were made by Tim Fishlock.
