Brighton is known for its alternative scene and that includes brilliant graffiti! There are many different spots where you can see the graffiti in Brighton but some of the best can be found in the North Laines and near to the central station.
4. Explore The Lanes & The North Laines

Get it correct, there are ‘The Lanes’ which are the original narrow shopping streets near to the sea, and a bit further up you can now explore ‘The North Laines’ which are a more alternative and younger version. Both of these areas are a popular place to go to some quirky independent shops.
5. Walk to Hove and see the colourful Beach huts

Of course you cannot have a British seaside town without some colourful beach huts to go with it. Although not right in the centre of Brighton you can find these huts a bit further down in Hove, Brighton’s bordering town.
6. Fill your stomach in Choccywoccydoodah

Are you a chocolate fanatic? Well you’re in for a treat because Brighton is home to a shop in which everything in made from chocolate! You can also go inside and have a cup of hot chocolate with chocolate on the side. And yes, these characters are made from chocolate! The shop is located in The Lanes and has a long but great name: choccywoccydoodah .
7. Watch the sunset over the burnt down West Pier

Brighton actually used to have 2 piers but The West Pier unfortunately caught fire in 1975 and since then has remained a skeleton silhouette. It makes the perfect backdrop for the sunset though!
8. Go for a long walk in Stanmer park

Just a few miles outside of the centre of Brighton you can find acres of beautiful countryside in Stanmer Park. Inside there’s even a small village with a church, cafe and shops.
9. Watch a concert in Brighton Dome

10. See an alternative film in the Duke of York picture house

Why go to a chain cinema when you can visit an independent alternative film cinema which is actually the oldest cinema in the UK! Look out for the stripey legs on the roof!
11. Find a bargain in Snoopers paradise

Hidden inside the North Laines is this bargain hunters haven Snoopers Paradise. Inside you can find almost everything and at a good price. It’s so big you might even get lost in there.
12. Dance the night away in the Green Door store

If you love dancing and having a good time then go to see some live music in The Green Door Store. Located underneath the train station, this club is open until 4am and free entry!
13. Take a windy walk along the Undercliff

From Brighton Marina in the direction away from the city centre you can find beautiful white cliffs like these. It’s a beautiful walk along the seafront where there’s a paved walkway all the way.
14. Try to go to one of Brighton’s festivals

Brighton has one of the most famous Gay Pride Festivals in the whole of the UK. As it’s known as the UK’s gay capital, it’s a popular festival to visit. You can also try Brighton Festival, Brighton Fringe, or The Great Escape festival.
15. See the whole city from the i360 Brighton

In the last couple of years, Brighton has recently opened a giant sightseeing platform i360 right on the beach. Climb into this circular ring and get taken up above the city where you can see the whole of Brighton.
