We've carefully renovated this 18th-century farmhouse by hand using natural materials: lime, hemp, adobe, wood, and reclaimed terracotta tiles.
Most of the furniture is antique.
You'll be staying in a space designed to accommodate up to 12 people, set apart from neighbours and surrounded by forest. The living room opens onto the garden and the forest through a large floor-to-ceiling window.
Original terracotta tiles and exposed beams adorn every room.
The raw earth walls lend a soft, cosy texture.
The bedding's high-quality, the sofa's comfortable, and they've thoughtfully designed the showers. Outside, a permaculture vegetable garden and orchard already provide part of the meals.
Since 2022, we've planted more than 300 trees and shrubs, along with hedgerows to promote biodiversity.
You can explore this ever-evolving garden, a haven for local wildlife. The Vilaine River's nearby: skip stones across the water, have a picnic on the rocks, or go kayaking or take an electric rowboat from the port of La Roche-Bernard.
Stroll through the old quarter and its Thursday market.
If you're travelling with children, you can head to Damgan Beach or the Branféré Wildlife Park.
