You enter through a glass door protected by a wrought-iron railing, and the first thing you notice is the height : the ceiling goes up to the roof beams, the original stone wall of the farmhouse remains visible for its entire double height, and the afternoon light filters through the two French windows that overlook the common porch . The kitchen, open to the dining area, has an island covered in split stone that acts as a hinge between the two rooms: oven, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator with freezer allow you to cook with the same freedom as at home, and the solid wood table, with a view of the courtyard through the French window, becomes the natural spot where you can stop in the morning with a coffee. Next door, a small cozy living room houses the sofa, which in the evening is transformed into a second double bed for those traveling in four , with the television at hand for quieter evenings.
A suspended, white, light staircase leads upstairs, opening onto a wooden mezzanine that overlooks the living area: from here you enter the bedroom, located under the roof, where the beams descend low to the wall and the light enters through a small dormer.
The double bed, dressed in warm terracotta tones , is the right place to finish a book before turning off the light, lulled by the silence of the countryside.
The bathroom, covered in white ceramic with a solid wood top for the sink, has a separate shower and bidet, and keeps the same exposed beams that accompany the whole house; not far away, a small hallway houses the washing machine for those who stay a few more days.
