Born from a family heritage, Era Borda has been carefully renovated to preserve its authenticity and offer a warm retreat for those wishing to discover the Pyrenees in a different way.
Located at the foot of the Col d’Aspin and facing Lake Payolle, this former stone sheepfold welcomes you in an exceptional natural setting, surrounded by mountains, a river, and wide open spaces.
Renovated with respect for tradition using local materials, it combines old-world charm with modern comfort, perfect for family stays or trips with friends. The house accommodates up to 7 guests and a baby.
It features a spacious living room with a wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms (two double beds and three single beds), a ground-floor bathroom, and an outdoor area with a terrace, barbecue, and river views.
Bed linen, towels, and welcome products are provided. Designed for everyone’s comfort, the house is suitable for seniors thanks to a ground-floor bedroom, a walk-in shower with seat, and safety features. From the house, many hiking trails are accessible on foot.
In winter, enjoy sledding, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing.
Nearby, you’ll also find cycling, tree climbing, via ferrata, and legendary Pyrenean mountain passes for cyclists. Nearby: Lake Payolle (“the Little Canada of the Pyrenees”) just minutes away on foot, Col d’Aspin 15 min, Grand Tourmalet – La Mongie ski resort 30 min, Bagnères-de-Bigorre 30 min with its renowned market, restaurants, and shops.

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans le gite d Emilie. Tout est bien conçu, la cuisine très bien équipée et pratique, les chambres très agréables, le poêle à bois tout y était, rien ne manquait. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Nous avons un tres bon sejour à Era borda en famille (2 petits enfants qui ont adoré les lits "cabanes"). La grande est renovée avec gout et rien ne manque. Accueil très agréable de la propriétaire. Tres bonne localisation pour effectuer des ballades et randonnées à proximité, sans faire trop de voiture. Il y a une petite epicerie à proximité et un bar/restaurant.Nous recommandons sans hésitation !
