Within the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, Labastide-Rouairoux offers an authentic escape between mountains and valley landscapes.
A former stronghold of the textile industry, the village has preserved a rich heritage, reflected in its Textile Museum housed in a former factory, as well as a lively atmosphere shaped by local markets and events.
The greenway, directly accessible from the gîte, invites you to enjoy walks or bike rides along the Thoré Valley.
A little further away, the landscapes of the Montagne Noire, the lakes and forests of the Haut-Languedoc, and the characterful villages of southern Tarn provide plenty of ideas for outings and discoveries. This single-storey semi-detached gîte, located close to the owners, is designed to accommodate up to 4 guests in a simple and friendly atmosphere.
The entrance opens onto a pleasant living area combining an open-plan kitchen, a dining area and a relaxation space with two armchairs, ideal for sharing moments together after a day outdoors.
The kitchen is functional and equipped with a microwave, a two-burner induction hob, a fridge with freezer and a filter coffee maker. Still on the ground floor, you will find a shower room with shower and separate toilets. Bedroom: one 150x190 bed and one 150x190 bunk bed Outside, the shared enclosed garden offers several relaxation areas, allowing everyone to enjoy their own privacy.
Several shaded terraces are available depending on your wishes, whether for reading, having lunch or simply enjoying the surrounding peace and quiet.
Direct access to the river, close to a small waterfall, is a rare and much-appreciated feature during warm weather, perfect for cooling off naturally. Guests also have access to a shared room next to the gîte with games, music and television, as well as an additional shared lounge mainly accessible in winter in the owners home. Parking is available within the residence. Please note: there is no television in the gîte, no washing machine on site (the owners can help out if needed), and electricity is charged extra during the winter period.
