Born from the restoration of an ancient palmento, the villa preserves the original charm of the historic structure, with exposed wooden beams and details that reflect a deep connection with the local territory. Sunlight slowly moves across the Mediterranean scrub and the local stone walls, shaping the rhythm of the day. Villa Il Palmento has been designed to offer the perfect balance between shared moments and privacy, thanks to its two adjacent buildings. One of the buildings is dedicated to the living area.
Here, guests will find a spacious dining room with kitchen created inside the ancient palmento, dominated by a large wooden table and a charming mezzanine that still preserves the original wine presses.
A small wine cellar is also available for guests. The building opens onto a panoramic terrace: on one side, a pergola with an outdoor dining table; on the other, a pathway leads to the private swimming pool with sun loungers and deck chairs, overlooking a fragrant garden and the surrounding countryside. The adjacent building hosts the sleeping area, enriched with authentic Sicilian details such as traditional majolica tiles and original grated windows. On the ground floor there is a small kitchen and four double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms: one overlooks the internal courtyard with garden and pergola, while the others enjoy sea views and direct access to the panoramic terrace. On the upper attic floor there is an additional double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The property is accessed through a private gate and offers internal parking. To explore the baroque streets of Scicli and easily reach the beaches of Cava d'Aliga and Sampieri, both just a few kilometres away, car rental is recommended.
