Die Alte Mühle by myNests in Gößl is a rustic holiday home on Grundlsee in the Ausseerland region.
Offering around 70 square meters, the holiday apartment can accommodate up to five people, combining historical character with comfortable amenities in a quiet location in Styria. Welcome to Die Alte Mühle in Gößl – a place where time passes a little more slowly.
The approximately 250-year-old Gößl mill has been lovingly converted into a cozy, rustic holiday home and today offers extraordinary accommodation far from the everyday. Idyllically situated directly on a picturesque mountain stream, you will experience nature in its most original form here.
The lively rush of water accompanies you throughout the day, creating a unique atmosphere of peace and deceleration.
Your time out begins practically right outside your door: just about 20 meters away, a gently ascending hiking trail leads directly into the impressive landscape of the Ausseerland region. The heart of the house is the original wooden parlor, which invites you to linger with its rustic coziness.
During the winter months, a traditional tiled stove provides comforting warmth and a genuine cottage atmosphere – almost like in grandma's day. Directly in front of it is the light-filled, enclosed veranda, the so-called "Brickl" – a wonderful place for a relaxed breakfast or quiet evenings in any weather. With approximately 70 m², the house offers space for up to four people.
Two lovingly designed bedrooms – equipped with a 160 cm double bed and a 140 cm daybed – ensure restful nights.
The steep staircase to the upper floor runs where the mill wheel used to be, underscoring the authentic character of this special house.
Underneath the charming sloping ceilings, cozy retreats are created, while large windows offer a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and the original village. Start your day on the bench in front of the house with a cup of coffee and let your gaze wander over the small garden, the old millstone, and the surrounding mountain landscape.
Or enjoy quiet hours on the small wooden terrace directly by the stream – a very special place, especially in the evenings. Despite its historical charm, you don't have to forgo modern comfort: a TV, coffee machine, and other amenities ensure a relaxing stay. The location is unique – just a stone's throw from Grundlsee, nestled in the dreamlike nature of the Styrian Salzkammergut.
A ski room is located behind the house, and dogs are also very welcome – after all, the best holiday moments are best shared together.
