The city of Wernigerode charges a tourist tax for all overnight guests, which is used to promote and maintain tourist attractions and cultural institutions. The tourist tax is EUR3.50 per night per person, including VAT. A reduction or exemption from the tourist tax is possible. Children up to the age of 6 are free.
In order to properly collect this tax, we are required to collect certain personal data from our guests and transmit it to the city of Wernigerode. This information will be used exclusively for this purpose and will, of course, be treated confidentially. For a correct registration, we require your full name, date of birth, address, as well as an email address and telephone number for any queries related to your booking.
