Perched above Sisteron, at the entrance to the Jabron valley, this entirely renovated old sheepfold is a characterful retreat where stone and arches combine with modern comfort.
Come with your tribe to share long meals under the trees, enjoy the 10x4 m swimming pool facing the mountains, and savor the silence of nature. The house is organized around generous living spaces: a superb vaulted dining room to bring everyone together, a warm living room in natural tones for relaxing evenings, and an authentic kitchen (concrete countertops, large range cooker) that makes you want to cook local before firing up the plancha.
For leisure, the vaulted games room sets the mood with a pool table, table football, DVDs, and board games; outside, a suspended hammock seat invites you to nap in the shade. Designed to accommodate up to 16 people, it offers an ideal configuration for families and groups of friends: four bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with three single beds, and one bedroom with two single beds, served by two bathrooms and three toilets.
The sober and bright bedrooms open their windows onto the garrigue and distant ridges; oil heating ensures perfect comfort outside the season. The grounds, a true viewpoint, offer several terraces and long wooden tables for breakfast at sunrise, lunch in the shade of the leaves, and dinner under a sky of stars.
The swimming pool (secured in a fenced area with child safety and a roller shutter) becomes the afternoon meeting point, with the valley as the horizon. Good to know for a peaceful stay: tap water is not drinkable; it is suitable for showering and washing dishes, but please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Access is via a passable track with a standard vehicle, driving slowly; very low vehicles are not recommended.
