Charming 3-star furnished apartment with all mod cons, 52m² in the heart of old Horbourg-Wihr, with private parking space in front of the flat and accessible to PRM. Our flat can also be seen on the Colmar tourist office website "Côté Jardin".
Very well located, just 400m from Colmar, and barely 5 minutes from the pedestrianised tourist centre, many amenities are accessible within a 400m radius (bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, post office, restaurants, etc.).
Our village is criss-crossed by a beautiful cycle path serving Colmar and the small villages along the wine route.
Don't forget to bring your bikes, as we have a secure, lockable space for parking them!
From the gîte, you can cycle through a small forest to the lock (1.7km away). From this lock, you can follow the Colmar canal along a beautiful cycle path, and why not take a gourmet break at "La Coccinelle", for lunch or a snack in a relaxing, bucolic setting.
A bus stop is just 250 m away, with a service to Colmar every 15 minutes.
Situated on a small village square, with a hundred-year-old chestnut tree, this gîte is on the ground floor of the owners' house, with a separate entrance, a private south-facing terrace and a small garden planted with trees and flowers and not overlooked.
Peace and quiet guaranteed! It comprises an entrance hall with storage cupboard, a spacious fitted kitchen opening onto a living room, tastefully decorated with a touch of Alsace! The sofa in the living room can be converted into a double bed. A large bedroom with a king-size bed (160x200) opens onto the garden and its south-facing terrace full of flowers.
Outside, you'll find wooden garden furniture, a large parasol and deckchairs for relaxing moments. Sheets are provided and the bed made on arrival.
Towels not included (+€4/person). Electric barbecue available on site. The shower room has an Italian-style shower, a vanity unit (hairdryer), a large cupboard and WC. A washing machine is available in the bathroom, along with a drying rack, iron and ironing board. Our gîte is very easy to get to, being close to the main roads. The location is ideal for exploring Colmar and the Wine Route, with its typical villages and half-timbered houses: - Turckheim 12 minutes away - Eguisheim 15 minutes away (favourite village of the French in 2013!) - Kaysersberg 15 minutes away (France's favourite village in 2017!) - Riquewihr, Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé, Zellenberg, less than 25 minutes away Numerous châteaux to visit, or on your hiking trails ( Haut-Koenigsbourg, Hollandsbourg, Ribeaupierre etc...) Mulhouse has a number of top-class museums, including La Cité de l'Automobile and La Cité du Train (Europe's largest train museum, with the original Orient Express carriages). Strasbourg, a European city, is also well worth a visit, with its cathedral, European Parliament, picturesque squares and Petite France (a must-see district). The Route des Crêtes is also worth a visit, with its hiking trails and protected natural areas in the Vosges.
Tear-off hiking map available on request. EUROPA PARK (in Germany), one of the most beautiful amusement parks in the world, is around 40 minutes away. The Ecomusée d'Alsace, located in Ungersheim, is a small concentrate of Alsace with typical, authentic houses, furnished as they were in our grandparents' time.
During the school holidays, discover the old trades and traditions of Alsace.
Boat trips, horse-drawn carriage rides, etc. To make your stay easier, tourist information is available on site. Personal welcome from 3pm, departure by 10am at the latest. If you are arriving by train on Saturday, I can collect you free of charge to help you settle in. We look forward to seeing you soon!
