Charming French Country Twin with Antique Furnishings This room reflects 19th-century provincial French charm, with a solid wood bed, antique wardrobe, and classic proportions.
Romantic cottage touches include soft textiles, canopy-style draping, and warm neutral tones.
Historic details—exposed wood, a patterned ceiling, and thick stone walls—highlight the character of the house, while tasteful brocante furnishings feel naturally collected over time, never staged or hotel-generic.
Come relax! The space Welcome to our historic home built in 1800, set in a peaceful village in the heart of the Creuse.
Renovated with care in 2025–26, the house blends old-world character with comfort — think stone walls, exposed wood beams, oak floors, antique furnishings, and the rustic ambiance of open hearth fireplaces on chilly evenings, balanced by hot, dry summers filled with light and countryside air. A very important note before you book: we share our home with two extremely friendly dachshunds.
A love of animals is an absolute must — they will happily expect a treat or two, may attempt a snuggle, and firmly believe all guests are here just for them.
If pets are a no-go for you, this is unfortunately not the right place.
We love good French food, wine, cognac, long conversations, and sharing why we fell in love with this beautiful corner of France.
This is a 225-year-old stone house, not a concrete hotel — walls are thick but not soundproof, and we ask guests to embrace the charm, history, and lived-in feel that comes with it. Come enjoy spring poppies, grazing sheep, Limousin beef, rolling countryside, quiet roads, and history everywhere you look.
Bienvenue — we’re delighted to welcome you. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared living spaces of our home, including the main kitchen, rustic kitchen, guest bathroom, dining room, and the garden, as well as, of course, your private guest room.
For larger laundry needs, we’re happy to recommend local launderettes, as our machine is not suited for large loads.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the main dining room.
If you arrange for supper in the evening, meal time is 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For privacy, the master bedroom and master bathroom are clearly marked and are not accessible to guests.
All other spaces are shared in the spirit of a traditional chambres d’hôtes stay.
If you’re with us for a few nights, feel free to catch up on the news with us in the living room, or settle into the library if you need a desk to work — though you may be gently scolded for bringing your laptop on holiday.
That said, as fellow business owners, we completely understand.
If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, just ask — we’re always happy to help.
Other things to note Host Availability We are onsite hosts, so if you need anything during your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re happy to help.
If you’re offsite and need assistance, you can also contact us by phone: We’re always just a message or call away.
If you cause damage to the property during your stay, you may be required to pay according to YourRentals’s property damage policy.
