The Fischerhaus Höhe 13 is unique on Norderney.
Nowhere else on the island can you live like the fishermen did 200 years ago – while enjoying today's comfort. The small house was built before 1816, making it the oldest house on the island.
The owner family has faithfully and meticulously renovated the listed fishermen's house in close coordination with monument preservation authorities until 2025. The goal was to make the historical condition visible again – with classic wooden windows, an elaborately restored facade, and many details reminiscent of the island's early history.
The comprehensive work was documented by NDR in the program "Nordstory." The house stands detached at Gartenstraße 13 – quiet yet in the middle of the town.
Shops, restaurants, bakeries, and the beach are within walking distance.
The Nordstrand (North Beach) is only about 550 meters away.
A car is not necessary – everything is easily accessible on foot or by bike. With around 47 m² of living space, the house offers accommodation for up to 3 people.
It has one bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and another, smaller bedroom with a single bed (90 x 200 cm). The smaller bedroom is directly connected to the larger bedroom and can only be accessed through it – a charming, historical room layout typical of old fishermen's houses.
