Rose Cottage quietly belongs to its surroundings, tucked within Nairn’s historic Fishertown where narrow streets hint at the town’s fishing heritage and the sea is never far from view.
Life here moves at a gentle coastal pace, making it an appealing choice for families or friends who want to feel part of the town rather than simply passing through it. From the moment you step through the door, the cottage reveals its easy, welcoming nature.
A small hallway draws you through to a convenient ground-floor shower room, ideal after sandy walks or blustery shoreline strolls.
The heart of the home unfolds beyond, where cooking, dining and unwinding come together in one bright, sociable space.
Evenings are easily spent stretched out in front of the Smart TV, the glow of the real-flame gas fire adding warmth as conversations drift on and meals are shared without hurry.
The kitchen is neatly arranged and well-stocked, with integrated appliances and thoughtful extras that make everyday cooking feel effortless.
Whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast before heading out or lingering over a homemade supper, everything is close to hand, keeping the focus on time spent together.
As the day draws to a close, the upstairs rooms offer a calm retreat.
The king-size bedroom provides a peaceful place to settle down for the night, while the second bedroom, with its trundle bed, works beautifully for children or extra guests.
A cloakroom on this level adds practicality, keeping the cottage comfortable and easy to live in. Family-friendly touches, including a highchair and travel cot, sit naturally alongside modern conveniences, and one well-behaved dog is welcome to share the experience.
Outside, a small gated patio creates a quiet pause between adventures.
It’s just right for a morning coffee or a moment to reflect after a day exploring.
From here, Nairn unfolds invitingly, with its sweeping sandy beach and grassy Links offering space to wander, breathe deeply and enjoy the changing coastal light.
The town’s independent shops, cafés and welcoming pubs give it a lived-in, friendly feel, while Nairn Museum adds depth with stories of the area’s past.
Further afield, the Highlands open up in unforgettable ways.
Chanonry Point near Fortrose is famed for its bottlenose dolphins, often seen feeding close to shore, while Fortrose Cathedral and Rosemarkie Beach blend history with coastal scenery.
Inverness brings a livelier contrast, with riverside walks along the River Ness, the bustle of the Victorian Market and elevated views from Inverness Castle.
Rose Cottage offers more than a place to stay; it provides a gentle way into Highland life, where sea air, local character and memorable days out come together naturally.EPC Rating: Band E. Short-term Holiday Let Licence No: HI-60014-F

Rose Cottage was ideal for our short stay, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Close to bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. Property was spotless. Only 2 minor things….and they are minor. The lou ge really needs a bigger TV than the one currently there and the shower head could...

We had a lovely stay. It was great to be just a five minute walk to some lovely beaches and the main street. The only difficulty was the tiny stairs leading to the bedroom- we are a bit older and they were a bit tricky. But other than that, highly recommended. Thanks for the sharp knives! Most holiday lets forget to maintain things like that.
