Just 10 minutes from St Jean d'Angély, ideally located between La Rochelle and Cognac (both 50 minutes away), it’s perfect for exploring Charente-Maritime! A former wine storehouse, adjoining the owner’s house, has been converted into a 3-star rural gîte with all modern comforts.
The two spacious bedrooms are upstairs, where you’ll also find a second toilet.
From the terrace and the small unfenced garden, enjoy birdsong in this wooded, bucolic setting—an LPO bird sanctuary.
Only one small pet is allowed.
Please note, cats roam the property.
An optional cleaning service is available on request for an extra fee.
Love walking or cycling? Reach the Boutonne (400 m away) for scenic trails along the river.
Depending on the season, you might spot white storks nesting just 300 m from the gîte.

Nous avons séjourné dans un gîte très agréable et charmant ,au calme, très propre avec un accueil très chaleureux par les propriétaires, accompagné de bons conseils pour visiter la région.

Gite situé dans une région où il y plein de lieux à visiter. Le gite par lui même est très bien et ne manque de rien et les propriétaires sont charmants et prévenants, toujours près à renseigner si besoin. Nous recommandons ce gite.

Le Gué de Champagne est très bien. Il est bien équipé et très douillet. On s'y sent bien et est très agréable. Les hôtes sont fort accueillants. Tres bonne adresse. Un vrai gîte de charme. A recommander pleinement.
