Vacation in architectural monuments combines heritage conservation and tourism.
Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats.
The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building.
The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in architectural monuments’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005. Persons: 4 persons Rooms: 1 large room with 2 double beds (separated by the sanitary block) Season: all year round Short holidays: None Altitude: 508 metres above sea level Pets: allowed on request Public transport: by SBB to Murten station, then continue by train to Münchenwiler-Courgevaux (then approx. 16 minutes on foot) or by bus to Münchenwiler to the Münchenwiler Dorf stop (approx. 10 minutes on foot). You can also get there by taxi from Murten. Eine grosszügige Unterkunft mit einem lichtdurchfluteten Wohnzimmer und sehr schönen Details. Der gepflegte Garten lädt zum Lesen ein, die Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Spaziergänge und Velotouren.
Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist das WC, dessen faltbaren Wände zur Decke hin offen sind.
Alles in Allem ein sehr stimmiger Ort!
