This detached holiday home is located in the Bundesgolddorf Höfen, right in the heart of the Eifel National Park.
The short distance to the historic town centre of Monschau, the Rursee lake and the High Fens makes its location a great starting point for beautiful excursions.
The terrace next to the house is equipped with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue is also available.
There are plenty of free parking spaces in front of the house or on the approx. 1100 m² property in front of the house, where you can play sports (badminton, "bolzen" etc.) or just lie lazily in the sun.
Pets are allowed for a fee.
The house itself dates back to the 17th century and is a listed building.
At the beginning of 2016, it was lovingly and tastefully renovated and furnished in accordance with ecological requirements (application of clay plaster, etc.).
It offers plenty of space for ten people and is therefore perfect for large groups.
On the ground floor is the living room with a cosy corner sofa, a coffee table, a large satellite TV with DVD player, a fireplace and a small table with two chairs.
There is another satellite TV set in an adjoining room, which is ideal for use as a children's room.
The cooking/dining area is equipped with an oven, a ceramic hob, a total of two fridges, a dishwasher, a kettle, a filter coffee machine and a dining table, leaving almost nothing to be desired.
There is a bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin on each of the two floors.
There are also two additional insulated guest WCs in the two bathrooms.
One of the two bathrooms is also equipped with a hairdryer and an infrared sauna (free of charge).
The house has a total of five bedrooms.
Two of the five bedrooms each have a double bed (1.40 m wide), the third has a double bed (1.80 m wide), the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed and the fifth has two single beds (each 0.90 m wide).
The landlord will be happy to provide you with a high chair free of charge.
There is heating in all rooms and WLAN Internet access is available.
Shopping facilities such as Aldi, DM, Lidl, Real and Netto can be reached in a few minutes by car.
There is a bakery and three restaurants in the village, including a good steakhouse and the beautiful, modern and brightly furnished bistro "Zur Alten Molkerei", which is directly connected to the national park gate.
There is also a snack bar.
Various hiking and cycling trails, such as the Eifelsteig and the Monschauer Heckenland route, lead past the house in the immediate vicinity.
The quaint cloth-making town of Monschau can be reached on foot in just under half an hour.
Towels are not provided and you must bring your own.
