Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism.
Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats.
The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building.
The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society. Car park: There is no car park directly at the house.
The SBB car park is one minute away from the house and charges apply.
Access to the house is guaranteed.
You can unload your luggage or shopping in front of the house. Public transport: The Fischerhäuser are located right next to Romanshorn railway station (1 minute walk) in the middle of an urban and lively neighbourhood. Number of persons 4: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available.
The house offers space for four guests (plus baby). From the entrance on the ground floor, the kitchen is on the right and the bathroom with shower/WC is on the left.
Straight ahead from the corridor is the living/dining room.
From the parlour a door leads into the first double bedroom and through this into the second double bedroom (trapped room). The floors are made of stone and wood, which is why we recommend good slippers. Garden: The gravelled area (garden tables and chairs are provided) is available for holiday guests to use and is shared with guests from flat 2 and the B&B. WLAN: Is available. Open: The house can be rented from April to October. Pets: Pets are not allowed. Altitude: 400 metres above sea level. Extras: The Lake Constance region is ideal for cycling tours.
Bicycles and/or e-bikes can be hired from the SBB right next to Romanshorn railway station.
The Fischerhaus 3 is run as a B&B and can accommodate up to 10 people.
It can also be rented for just one night.
The B&B runs a small café/restaurant.
This is open on Friday evenings, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
For historical reasons, the house is not soundproofed and is therefore very noisy. IMPORTANT ADDITION The Fischerhäuser are architectural monuments that have been renovated with great respect for the existing substance.
The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care.
Although technically equipped to modern standards, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger.
Particular reference is made to the low windows.

Die Ferienwohnung wurde sehr schön restauriert und wird toll geführt. Uns haben die kleinen Blumensträusse in der Wohnung und der Garten sehr gut gefallen und das Frühstück war sehr fein und liebevoll angerichtet.
