Welcome to the Waldbachhof An old family business has a new name: the Waldbachhof in Watterbach combines decades of experience with a modern approach to agriculture and sustainable farming.
Between barren red sandstone soils, steep slopes, and the idyllic Waldbach stream, we have developed a farming method that is entirely dedicated to animal welfare, soil fertility, and the respectful use of resources.
Suckler cow husbandry in the Odenwald Suckler cow husbandry is at the heart of our farm.
Our Fleckvieh Simmental, Limousin, and Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle raise their calves in herds.
Just as nature intended.
From spring to fall, they graze on the surrounding hills, and they spend the winter in an outdoor climate free-range barn.
We do not use concentrated feed; instead, we feed them exclusively grass, herbs, hay, and grass silage.
At the end of their lives, the animals are slaughtered directly on the farm, without transport stress, in the most peaceful manner possible.
Sustainable forestry and energy production In addition to agriculture, forestry plays an important role in our region.
Construction and industrial timber is produced on 35 hectares of PEFC-certified forest.
The residual wood is recycled in our farm's own wood gasification plant.
Together with photovoltaic systems, we generate renewable energy for around 150 households and use the waste heat for heating and drying.
In this way, we make a real contribution to climate protection, in line with our philosophy.
Ecological, transparent, and in harmony with natural limits.
Vacation apartments inspired by the elements Guests are invited to experience this attitude on vacation as well.
Our vacation home at Waldbach offers modern apartments designed according to the four elements.
Families enjoy the play barn and playground, while hikers and cyclists can start their adventures right outside the door in the Bavarian Odenwald.
Dogs and horses are also welcome.
This makes your break a shared experience for the whole family.
Behind the Waldbachhof is Corinna, who runs the farm with great passion and receives active support from her partner and family.
Together with reliable employees and the animals, this creates a lively everyday farm life that combines agriculture and hospitality.
