We find there the charm of low houses with white walls and red tiled roofs; you get lost in the cobbled streets that intertwine to finally converge on the Grande Place in the center of the village. 13 km of fine sandy beaches, 8 of which face south, La Tranche is a succession of renowned spots for surfing, kite surfing, sand yachting and windsurfing.
Windsurfers call it "Little California". Four districts, four faces: The town center, La Grière to the south, the Lighthouse to the west and the Hameau de la Terrière.
