Bad Elster, one of the oldest health resorts in Germany, is picturesquely situated in the Vogtland region, surrounded by rolling hills, dense forests and clear streams. The traditional town impresses with its well-kept parks, historic buildings and the elegant spa district with the famous brine thermal baths and the King Albert Theatre.
