A savvy globetrotter, passionate about travel and animals, Aurélien welcomes you to a charming contemporary villa leaning against a "balcony" and "panoramic belvedere", on a south-facing hillside, in a residential development (bordering a country road that is partly busy during the week, depending on commuter travel times) nestled on the heights of the charming, typical and commercial wine-growing village of La Roche Vineuse, one of the rare communes of Saône-et-Loire to have retained its revolutionary name, with numerous appreciable small shops and a notable heritage (elegant 18th century "Renaissance" residences with lava roofs, wash houses and cadoles, 11th century Romanesque chapel, archaeological site of the "Carrières de la Lie" listed as a Historic Monument, etc.). Pleasant surroundings, nestled in the unspoiled Mâconnais countryside (protected by a ZNIEFF for its rich fauna and flora), in the heart of the bucolic vineyards of the renowned "Val Lamartinien" (Chardonnay grape variety, named after the famous French poet, writer, and politician, native of the area), beneath the wooded ridges of the Rochette mountain, sheltering a rare 7-hectare "Sensitive Natural Area" ("Lande de Nancelle"), adjoining a vast, wild and protected forest (to be explored on foot or by mountain bike). Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans ce gîte. Il est plutôt bien situé, à la campagne, au milieu des vignes mais proche de Mâcon et de Cluny, avec des commerces de proximité.Le gîte est récent, très bien équipé et la clim a bien été appréciée par les fortes chaleurs.
