PLACE AND SURROUNDINGS
Grado is located on the Upper Adriatic, between Trieste and Venice. It is a traditional, popular holiday destination for all those who appreciate relaxation in the sun and by the sea, family-friendliness, and tranquility. The area north of Grado is partly a nature reserve, thus offering an impressive variety of rare bird species. The surroundings are perfect for both those seeking peace and quiet, who find relaxation in long walks or bike tours in the picturesque, natural environment, and for lovers of active holidays. A variety of water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, Hobie Cat, kayaking, and canoeing leave nothing to be desired. On land, sports such as golf or tennis are offered. Long sandy beaches can be found in the four sections Grado Pineta, Spiaggia al Bosco, GIT, and Costa Azzurra. Here, VIP beach areas with large pavilions, baby and family beaches with entertainment and play areas, beaches for dogs, bars and restaurants for refreshments, water and beach sports activities, cultural events, and music evenings are offered. Culture enthusiasts will get their money's worth with visits to the towns of Montefalco, Aquileia, and Grado with their historic bell towers and manor houses.
