Explore the Großer Inselsberg with its toboggan run and bird of prey park, or hike to the nearby Forstgut Winterstein. In winter, cross-country skiing and slopes await in nearby Oberhof. Day trips to Eisenach’s Wartburg, Erfurt, Weimar or Gotha offer cultural variety. Families will enjoy Mini-a-thür park and the fascinating Kittelsthal dripstone cave
