Our holiday home, with approx. 140 square meters of living space spread over three floors, offers accommodation for up to 7 people. Old beams, stone slabs, and cobblestones are present throughout. The cozy living room with an integrated dining area, television, and a small library invites you to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator with an integrated freezer compartment, stove with oven, coffee machine, toaster, and kettle.

In the basement, with a separate entrance, you will find a single room with an adjoining bathroom and toilet. The ground floor comprises the entrance area, living room, kitchen, and a double room with a box-spring bed and an adjoining bathroom.

One floor up, there is a double room with a box-spring bed and a balcony; across the hallway, there is also a double room with a box-spring bed. Both rooms share a bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and toilet.

A barbecue, garden furniture, Wi-Fi, and a parking space are also available.

The holiday home Rhönmantisch – Rural life and tranquility – invites you to slow down. Views of the Simmelsberg, Rodenbacher Köpfchen, or the Nalle can be enjoyed from the window, balcony, or terrace in the garden.

Besides peace and idyll, you are only a short distance from neighboring towns such as Gersfeld, Bischofsheim, or Fulda.

The associated cottage garden features roses, lavender, hydrangeas, elderberry bushes, and herbs.

Inside the house, holiday guests will also find numerous paintings by the grandfather Arno; this pleases the homeowner, who thus makes his beloved grandfather Arno ever-present.

If you are lucky, you will have many neighbors: sheep and goats belonging to the local shepherd Klaus Keidel.

In Gersfeld, there is a swimming pool, and Guckaisee lake is a 5-minute drive away. The surrounding area offers many excursion possibilities. These include the Wasserkuppe, the Kreuzberg, the city of Fulda with all its sights, nearby riding stables, paragliding, or hang gliding on the Wasserkuppe, the highest mountain in the Rhön region and in Hesse. A playground is 2 minutes from the holiday home.

In numerous restaurants in the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy Rhön delicacies or international cuisine. Typical Rhön products can also be purchased at the Rhöner Bauernladen (Rhön Farm Shop), a 5-minute drive away.

A 100% prepayment is charged upon booking. Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations will be charged at 50% of the total price. Arrival is possible from 5 PM to 9 PM. Departure is possible until 11 AM. Other arrival and departure times are possible by prior arrangement. Please contact us in good time for coordination.
Key handover is via a key safe. You will receive the code for this in good time before your arrival. A baby cot can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed/upon request. The visitor's tax of €2.10 per person/night for guests aged 14 and over will be charged extra on-site.
