Information about the host
In our Maiensäss above Buchen in Prättigau (approx. 1'300 m.a.s.l.) you can enjoy nature-orientated and stress-free vacations and leave everyday life behind. Surrounded by meadows and woods, the Maiensäss "Plausi" is situated in a peaceful mountain world with a wonderful view over the Vorderprättigau. The seating area by the house invites you to linger and watch the wildlife.
In winter it is not possible to reach the Maiensäss by car. However, it is possible to drive to the Plattis/Plaus junction and park the car there. The road can be covered with snow, therefore it is recommended to have snow chains with you. From there you can reach the Maiensäss with snowshoes (4 pairs can be provided) in about 15 - 20 minutes. A horn sled for transporting luggage is available.
Winter sports facilities: Family-friendly ski area at reasonable prices and cross-country ski trail in the immediate vicinity. Well-maintained hiking trails invite you to long walks, hikes or Nordic walking. While snowshoeing or on ski tours you can enjoy nature and silence intensively. Ski resorts Klosters / Davos can be reached in about 30 minutes.
Summer sports offers: An idyllic outdoor swimming pool is in Pany (approx. 10 min. by car). An extensive network of hiking trails is at your disposal. Mountain bike tours are possible from the house.

Sie fahren über die A13 und nehmen die Ausfahrt Landquart in Richtung Davos. Nach der Ortschaft Schiers zweigen Sie links ab und folgen dem Wegweiser - Lunden Buchen. Die Fahrzeit von Landquart nach Buchen beträgt ca. 20 Minuten. Für die Schlüsselübergabe bitten wir Sie, beim Eigentümer in Buchen vorbei zu schauen. Er befindet sich an der Hauptstrasse 277, vis à vis von der 1. Postautohaltestelle im Dorf. Im Winter ist die Zufahrt zum Maiensäss mit dem Auto nicht möglich. Es besteht aber die Möglichkeit mit dem Auto bis zur Abzweigung Plattis/Plaus zu fahren und da das Auto hinzustellen. Die Strasse kann schneebedeckt sein, es empfiehlt sich deshalb Schneeketten dabei zu haben. Von da aus ist das Maiensäss mit Schneeschuhen (4 Paar können zur Verfügung gestellt werden) in ca. 15 - 20 Minuten erreichbar. Ein Hornschlitten für den Transport des Gepäcks steht zur Verfügung. Check-In: ab 15.00 Uhr Check-Out: bis spätestens 10.00 Uhr

Das Maiensäss bietet Platz für 4-5 Personen. Es verfügt über eine Küche, eine Stube, ein Schlafzimmer mit 2 Kajütenbetten (die 5. Matratze kann auf den Stubenboden gelegt werden). Eine Waschgelegenheit sowie ein Trocken-WC befinden sich im Haus. Im Keller befindet sich ein Vorratsraum mit verschiedenen Getränken und Esswaren zum Selbskostenpreis. Geheizt wird mit einem Holzofen im „Stübli“. Alle Räume sind beleuchtet. Kochgelegenheit mit Strom oder auf dem Holzofen. Es hat fliessend kaltes Wasser in der Küche. Im Hof befindet sich ein zusätzliches WC (Plumpsklo).
