We’ll welcome you as guests, not as customers. The two-room apartment is equipped with basic amenities:
1) A bedroom with a balcony overlooking the Crati River, equipped with a heat/cool air conditioner, TV, bathroom/study area, open closet with hangers, and a Bluetooth lamp;
2) A kitchen with a balcony overlooking the river, air conditioning (heating and cooling), a full kitchen with an oven and gas stove, a refrigerator with an attached freezer, a washing machine, a kettle, and a coffee maker. A toilet with an integrated bidet and a shower.
The 35 m² studio apartment is nestled in an alley adjacent to the “Piazza Vittime Civili di Guerra” parking area and overlooks the Crati River, a place steeped in legends and history. You’ll wake up to the sound of birds singing and the river flowing. A starting point for a tour of the historic centre—unique for its still-raw and rustic charm—immerse yourself in a walking tour that will let you experience a centre where the walls breathe history, a leap into a past that’s still very much present. Vico Postierla serves as a side entrance; from here, you’ll reach Piazzetta Toscano, an archaeological site featuring Roman walls, and continue on a tour where every staircase, crossroads, and doorway tells its own storey. Roman walls, stately mansions, the Rendano Theatre, the historic villa, the Cathedral, the Prefect’s Palace, and much more. If you’re up for it—it all depends on your thirst for adventure—in just 90 minutes you can go from the historic centre to the beaches of Paola, to the many villages such as Fiumefreddo, San Lucido, Amantea, to the pristine forests of the Sila, where you’ll find bike trails, museums, parks, and unique places like Lorica with its lake and the village of Mancuso—and where you can enjoy the many farms and trattorias, where good food and the good life reign supreme.
