In the heart of the vibrant city of Monopoli, Civico 72, is a ground-floor apartment for 3 people. Only a 10-minute walk from the harbour, this is the ideal base for exploring this fascinating, ancient port, as well as some of Puglia’s other beautiful towns.
The apartment is a stylish combination of traditional, vaulted stone ceilings and contemporary décor. The owners have taken great care to create a relaxing, comfortable environment. The main living area includes a sofa, a neat dining table for 4 and an open-plan kitchen. The modern kitchen is well-equipped, with an induction hob, oven, a Dolcegusto coffee machine and fridge/freezer.
At the back of the apartment there is a charming courtyard, furnished with a café-style table and chairs, so guests can enjoy drinks al fresco.
Sleeping
The stone-vaulted bedroom has a double bed, a single bed, built-in wardrobe and an en suite bathroom. A glass door leads to the back courtyard.
Bathroom
The bathroom is appointed with a glass shower, basin, bidet and WC.

The apartment is in a great location, just a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Monopoli. Monopoli is one of Italy’s hidden gems. Known for its lively bars and nightlife, the town’s cathedral and the Castello di Carlo are also worth visiting.
For self-catering Monopoli’s vibrant, weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 7.30am) is the best place to pick up delicious local produce to cook at home.
Alberobello, (30 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as one of the centres of Italy’s Slow Food Movement. The town is a must-see. It is famous for its traditional Trulli houses and excellent restaurants.
All along this stretch of coast, visitors will find some of Italy’s most beautiful beaches. North of Monopoli is Polignano a Mare (15 minutes) which offers excellent snorkelling in its clear waters.
For history lovers, the archaeological museum at Egnazia (20 minutes) offers a fascinating glimpse into Puglia’s interesting past.
The closest airport is at Bari, a 55-minute drive from the apartment.
