The Costetoi Hütte is located on a mountain meadow at the edge of the forest, in an idyllic landscape.
It is situated in a sunny spot with an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains and forests.
A special natural experience awaits you at the "Tobiere di Dante" peat bogs on the northern border of the Dolomites.
In Val Comelico/Visdende, mountain bikers will find a wide selection of routes, ranging from easy trails to challenging paths along forest roads.
On hot summer days, you can cool off at Lago di Santa Catarina, which is only a few kilometers from the hut. Fishing in Val Comelico means clean, crystal-clear water and numerous trout.
The valley's wild streams offer you the opportunity to simultaneously enjoy the magical panorama of the Dolomites. Living space of 100m² for 7 people 1 bedroom with a double bed 1 bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds 1 additional sleeping place on the sofa in the living room for 1 person 1 bathroom with shower and toilet 1 separate toilet Kitchen: Gas stove and oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle, and toaster Washing machine Solar power and photovoltaics with storage (28 KW) and generator Central hot water heating & gas boiler (radiators in all rooms) Additional wood heating – Swedish stove Radio with CD player Sun terrace with 2 large tables and 4 benches, as well as 2 loungers Sunbathing lawn and garden grill available, can also be used for controlled bonfires The sunny dreamlike setting speaks for itself! The Costetoi Hütte was renovated in 2016/2017 in a modern and traditional style.
The nearest village is Costalta, only 2 km from the hut, where you will find a baker with an attached pizzeria and bar, 2 shops, and another bar. 1.5 km uphill (20 minutes on foot) are two managed mountain restaurants, and another 3 km further in Val Visdende are several typical local restaurants.
The next larger town is Santo Stefano di Cadore, reachable in 8 km (supermarket available). The Costetoi Hütte is accessible with a 4x4 vehicle.
Parking is available directly in front of the hut. If you arrive with a non-4x4 car, there is further parking available at the La Siega parking lot, approximately 500 meters from the hut.
