## Emplacement
Located 156 km from Saint-Malo and 5 km from Dinard, you can go to Saint-Lunaire by road, by train (TGV Paris/ Saint-Malo then connection by bus) or by air (line London/ Pleurtuit, airport of Dinard PLeurtuit).
After the collapse of the empire, Armorica, like Brittany or England, was the scene of struggles between Saxons and Bretons. In 535, the young bishop monk Lunaire coming from Wales, accosted the Point of Take-off. Lunaire and his disciples evangelize the country and build a monastery.
Around 1050, the Romanesque church of Saint-Lunaire was built near the ruins of the monastery. Today there is still the Gallo-Roman sarcophagus in which Saint-Lunaire, who died at the age of 115, was buried.
For several centuries, Saint-Lunaire remains a village of fishermen and sailors who cultivate the land and where many captains are born along the course that will arm the large sailing ships in the nineteenth century.
Around 1866, the vogue of sea baths reached Saint-Lunaire. It is the explosion of the seaside: boulevards, large villas and casino are built.
From 1905, under the impetus of Sylla Laraque, a rich Haitian who made his fortune in sugar cane and who fell in love with Saint-Lunaire, a new city was born by the sea. We owe him the Grand Hotel, the dike of the Grande Plage, the Tennis and 17 villas. From well-to-do families, the secondary residents come from Paris, Rennes, Lyon and northern France.
If today the times have changed, the charm of the seaside and family resort remains intact to welcome you all year in an exceptional setting with the colors of the Emerald Coast!
