Information about the host
The detached chalet Fuchshalde (6 beds, 115 sqm) is located at the entrance to the village of Pany on a sunny mountain slope. From the large sun terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the whole valley. In the village center (700 m away) you will find a grocery store, a pizzeria and the guest information. Adjacent to the house is a beautiful sitting area (flagstones/lawn), which is equipped with garden furniture and barbecue. The house is also accessible by car in winter (road is groomed, depending on conditions snow chains may be necessary, 4WD advantageous). The nearest post bus stop "Pany Schulhaus" is 150 m away. Uncovered parking is available in front of the house. Please replenish existing basic food and waste bags after use for the next guests. Waste should only be deposited in the official, gray 35l "Prättigau" waste bags at the official collection points (rolls of 35l gray plastic bags can be purchased in the stores). Winter The family-friendly, snow-sure ski lift is 1.5 km away. Free cross-country skiing trails are available near ski lift. Ski abstainers can expect a wide network of winter hiking and walking trails, three toboggan runs and marked snowshoe trails. Summer Around Pany you will find an extensive network of walking, hiking and biking trails. The outdoor swimming pool Pany is considered one of the highest outdoor swimming pools in Europe and is only 1.8 km away.
Arrival (Check-in/Check-out)
Arrival by train: From Zurich airport in the direction of Chur (change in Landquart in the direction of Küblis). From there take the Postbus to Pany, stop "Pany Schulhaus". Arrival by car: From Zurich about 130km, heading south-east following the signs to Zurich/Chur, then on the highway along Lake Zurich and Lake Walen in the direction of Chur. After about one hour drive 15 km before Chur to Landquart. Follow the signs to Davos and Vereina / Flüelapass, passing the small village of Schiers on the left, continue to Küblis. At the entrance to the village opposite the Subaru garage, turn left under the railroad tracks and follow the signs for Luzein, Pany, St. Antönien up the slope. After the village of Luzein, at a sharp bend, do not turn left towards Buchen-Lunden-Schiers, but sharp right up towards Pany/St.Antönien. One kilometer later at the village sign Pany sharp left up the private gravel road in the opposite direction, past the garage carved into the mountain with a stone house above, past two more houses and there is already our house, the only wooden house on the short private road. For parking and turning in the Fuchshalde there is a 490 cm long garage with a clear door width of 235 cm and a clearance height of 190 cm as well as an outside parking space for a car. The platform in front of the house is for turning and parking (rather narrow). Parking and turning at the neighbors is not allowed, please leave the private road for residents. Other cars can only be parked in the municipal parking lot, which is subject to fees, or behind the school after consultation with the municipality. The large, pine-paneled living-dining room offers a magnificent view of Parsenn. The area is equipped with satellite TV, a cozy corner bench as well as an upholstered sofa. The beautiful tiled stove conveys a homey atmosphere. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and also has a microwave, a toaster, fondue dishes, a blender, as well as a kettle, cafetiere and coffee filter for coffee preparation. There is a possibility to use Wi-Fi. On the 1st floor there are 3 bedrooms with 7-8 beds at your disposal. One large bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with a collapsible double bed plus two more bunk beds and a very small sleeping chamber (6sqm) with a built-in bunk bed and a panoramic window with a view of the Gotschnagrat. Modern floor-heated shower with WC, washbasin and washing machine, and a separate WC.
