Nestled in a charming hamlet, just minutes from Castelnaudary, this cottage enjoys a preserved setting in the heart of the Aude countryside. It's a little corner of nature, between the Montagne Noire and the Lauragais hills, ideal for recharging your batteries away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The region, renowned for its art of living and gastronomy (you can't miss the famous cassoulet!), offers a clever blend of rural traditions and historical heritage. Stroll along the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi, explore farmers' markets, visit fortified towns and abbeys, or indulge in a bike ride through the fields.
For the more curious or culture-loving, Carcassonne, Toulouse, and even the Mediterranean are only an hour's drive away.
The cottage, adjoining the owners' home, offers:
_ A comfortable living room with a television,
_ A dining room,
_ A fitted and equipped kitchen (2 small steps) (dishwasher, induction hob, oven, Tassimo coffee maker, refrigerator with freezer compartment) with access to the garden,
_ A laundry room with storage space and washing machine,
_ A separate toilet,
Upstairs:
_ A hallway designed as a playroom or relaxation room,
_ A bedroom with a double bed,
_ A bathroom with a shower stall, vanity unit, and toilet.
_ A library with access to a terrace overlooking the garden,
On the second floor:
_ An attic bedroom with a double bed and a crib (2 small steps),
_ An attic bedroom with two single beds,
Outside, a garden with furniture, a swing, and a gas grill. Parking for 2 vehicles is available in front of the cottage.
Parties are prohibited and the cottage is non-smoking. Pets are not allowed, as Vicky already looks after the property.
