Welcome to Hohen Ufer - Vacation for the Whole Family
Our bungalow "Muschelgetuschel" is located in a prime vacation spot, very close to the sea.
The living room features a large glass front with a view of the garden and access to the sun terrace.
On colder days, the fireplace makes it wonderfully cozy.
The house has three bedrooms: two bedrooms are equipped with a double bed.
The third bedroom offers a single bed for you.
All bedrooms can be darkened with curtains.
The bathroom with natural light has a walk-in shower with a shower cabin. The unique roof and thatched-roof house settlement at Hohen Ufer is ideally located for a relaxing vacation.
The houses are situated between 50 to 350 meters from the natural beach.
Some houses in the front row even have direct beach access. A short walk will take you to the main beach, restaurants, a playground, a skate park, and kiosks along the promenade.
A bakery, a bike rental service, and – for the very active guests – a fitness studio are also located within a 1,500-meter radius. You can conveniently park your car at the house – and gladly leave it there.
It's best to do everything here on foot or by bike.
For travel to Heiligenhafen or Fehmarn, local buses run several times a day.
This ensures great flexibility.
Overall, Großenbrode is a fantastic starting point for all kinds of bike tours: You can reach Heiligenhafen in just over an hour – a bit faster with an e-bike – or enjoy the unique view from the Fehmarnsund Bridge and cycle directly to Fehmarn. More information about Großenbrode can be found here. *Many offers are seasonal and subject to availability, use is charged, subject to change!

Großenbrode, a picturesque town on the Baltic Sea, is a true gem for anyone wishing to experience the sea and nature in its purest form. Nestled in the gentle coastal landscape of Schleswig-Holstein, the town beckons with a blend of idyllic beaches and an atmosphere of peace and serenity.
The vast sandy beaches of Großenbrode invite you to linger and relax. Here, you can leave everyday life behind, walk barefoot in the warm sand, and enjoy the sound of the waves. On clear days, the view across the Baltic Sea stretches to the Danish coast, blurring in the distance. The natural beach, stretching along the coast, is particularly beautiful and a true paradise for nature lovers.
There are numerous hiking and cycling paths around Großenbrode. The nearby nature reserve "Wallnau," with its diverse flora and fauna, is ideal for extended walks where, with a bit of luck, you can observe sea eagles or other rare birds. History and culture are also not neglected: the old Hanseatic cities of Lübeck and Rostock are not far away and make for an ideal day trip.
Großenbrode offers families with children three fantastic playgrounds, perfect for a relaxed day by the sea. Two of them are located directly on the beach and are perfect destinations for little adventurers. The playground at the pier impresses with climbing frames, swings, and a great view of the Baltic Sea. The beach playground at Südstrand offers plenty of space for activity, with play equipment and a large sand area for digging and romping. The third playground, the adventure playground in town, is also a highlight, with exciting climbing elements and a zip line. All three playgrounds are well-equipped and offer children plenty of room to play while parents can enjoy the fresh air and the proximity to the water.
The surroundings of Großenbrode are also ideal for visiting typical Baltic Sea coastal towns such as Heiligenhafen or Burgtiefe. The unique combination of nature, sea, and tradition makes this part of the Baltic Sea coast a true sanctuary for those seeking relaxation, families, and nature lovers alike.
Hansa-Park in Sierksdorf and the Sea Aquarium on Fehmarn are just two exciting excursion destinations to be found in the Großenbrode area. Hansa-Park is a large amusement park directly on the Baltic Sea, delighting visitors of all ages with over 125 attractions. From thrilling roller coasters to family-friendly rides and impressive shows – there's something for everyone. The Sea Aquarium on Fehmarn offers a fascinating insight into the underwater world. Visitors can observe sharks, rays, and tropical fish in large aquariums. The shark aquarium, in particular, makes the diversity of marine life an experience you can have up close. Both destinations perfectly complement the natural experience around Großenbrode and offer entertainment for the whole family.
