The north coast is characterized by quiet sand beaches like Son Serra de Marina and Playa de Muro and beaches with all important amenities, like Can Picafort and Puerto de Alcúdia.

The lively sand beaches Can Pastilla and S'Arenal are in the south and have a rich nightlife. Sometimes you might hear planes passing, but the area is, in general, quiet.
