From the holiday home , you can easily explore the village by boat, canoe, or on foot. A trip on the water is an absolute must! In the immediate vicinity, you will find Weerribben-Wieden National Park, a paradise for nature lovers with countless walking and cycling routes. For those who enjoy culture, there are various museums, such as Museum Giethoorn 't Olde Maat Uus, where you can learn all about life in old Giethoorn. Additionally, there are cozy restaurants and terraces within walking distance where you can enjoy local specialties. In short, this holiday home offers the ideal base for a relaxing and varied holiday in one of the most beautiful villages in the Netherlands.

On the ground floor, there is an atmospheric living room with a comfortable seating area, television, and a dining table with six chairs. Thanks to the French doors on three sides – all fitted with insect screens – you enjoy plenty of natural light and direct access to the terrace.

The open kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, filter coffee maker, gas hob, combination microwave, refrigerator, and kettle.

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms: two rooms each with two single beds and one room with a single bed. Additionally, there are two bathrooms. On the ground floor, you will find a bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink, and washing machine. On the first floor, there is a second bathroom with a bathtub and sink – ideal for a relaxing moment after a day outdoors.

A wooden deck surrounds the holiday home , so you can find a sunny spot at any time of day to enjoy the outdoors. A boat can be moored directly in front of the house, and there is also an opportunity to fish.

Particularities
• The minimum age of the main booker for this holiday home is 18 years.
• If your departure day is on a Sunday, you can check out till 18:00
• This holiday home is located right in the center of Giethoorn, yet surrounded by nature. This means you can park about a 10-minute walk away. The walking route includes a small high bridge and a gravel path; you can use a wheelbarrow for your luggage.
• This home is less suitable for people with mobility issues.
• You have your own private mooring at the home with a charging point for an electric boat.
• Making open fires and barbecuing with charcoal are not permitted here.
• The fireplace is not in use.

If your booking date is after March 31, 2026, a five-person rowboat is included during your stay. If you booked before that date, you can add the rowboat if desired for a surcharge of EUR 7 per night; please do so directly with the owner. The rowboat is convenient for transporting luggage and can also be used for recreational purposes.

Giethoorn's idyllic setting is thanks to National Park Weerribben-Wieden. From your cottage in Dutch Venice you step straight into the green world. Sail through the water village, discover the cosy terraces and restaurants, and visit museums. Explore the surroundings by taking a nice walking or cycling tour through the beautiful park and discover the unique flora and fauna the park has to offer. Rather do something active? Then take to the heights at klimbos Paasloo. Fun for children! If you would like to visit a big city and go shopping, you can go to Steenwijk, Meppel or Zwolle.
