Ostseebad Zinnowitz - holiday for the senses

The 703 year old Zinnowitz, with its 160 years of bathing life, is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts on the island of Usedom. At the beginning of the 20th century, hotels and guesthouses with impressive architecture were built, which, together with the spacious promenade, create a unique picture.

Located between the Baltic Sea and the Achterwasser, at one of the narrowest points on Usedom, the town is surrounded by beech, oak and coniferous forest. The white, gently sloping sandy beach is just as inviting for relaxation as the Amber Spa with its 850 square metre seawater swimming area or a boat trip on the Baltic Sea or Achterwasser.

Facts and figures

Zinnowitz is located in the north of Usedom at the northern end of an approximately one to two kilometre wide headland between the Achterwasser and the Pomeranian Bay, has 3,777 inhabitants and 1917 hours of sunshine per year.

Sights include the:

beach promenade, spa architecture, the Zinnowitz local history museum, the library, the theatre 'Blechbüchse', the Bernsteintherme, the Vineta bridge with diving gondola, the Baltic Sea stage Zinnowitz with 1300 seats (venue of the Vineta Festival) and a Protestant church, built in 1894/95.

The island of Usedom is the second largest German island with an area of 445 square kilometres. The 42 kilometres of outer coastline has a fine sandy white beach and since 2000 there has been a rail connection from the island to the mainland via the Wolgast Bridge.
