Shopping facilities, as well as a post office and pharmacy, are within walking distance. The vacation apartment is located 4 km from the town of Aurich with its historic center in the heart of East Frisia. From here, you can undertake countless tours on foot, by bicycle, or by car. The forest is just a short walk away. The North Sea coast with its small canal villages and the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park can be reached by car in 30 minutes. A day trip to the East Frisian Islands is always worthwhile. The swimming lake in Tannenhausen is 8 km away, and the swimming pool with a sauna landscape "De Baalje" is 4 km away. The fen landscape with its numerous canals and bridges, the Krummhörn with its small churches, and the moor lake "Ewiges Meer" also have their charm. You can climb high on a wind turbine or visit the replica of the Ihlow monastery.
