Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Ferien im Baudenkmal’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.

Public transport: Näfels-Mollis railway station, walk to the centre of Näfels, approx. 600m

Car: In the centre of Näfels, practically opposite the Freulerpalast, cantonal road towards Glarus.

Car park: There are parking spaces in front of the house. Luggage can be unloaded in front of the house.

Number of persons 2-3: 1 bedroom. On the 1st floor 1 room with double bed (180/200). A third person can sleep on the sofa.

Extras: The Haus zur Beuge is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal disclaim any liability.

The flat is wheelchair accessible. There is a lift in the stairwell.
