Relax in this charming loft apartment for 3, in the heart of the charming town of La Maddalena! On the 4th floor, the studio has lovely pitched wooden ceilings and cool terracotta floors.
It is the perfect choice for a couple or small family who want to escape from it all and explore the lovely Maddalena Archipelago. The spacious living room is attractively decorated with contemporary furniture, including two sofas, flat-screen TV, bookcases and a dining table for 4 people.
To the left of the front door, there is an open kitchen which is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a Mokka coffee maker.
A glass door leads onto a private balcony where guests can relax and enjoy the sea air. Sleeping The sofa converts into a comfortable double bed and there is a single sofa bed for a 3rd guest. Bathroom The fully equipped bathroom has a glass shower, bidet, basin and WC. The La Maddalena Archipelago National Park covers 7 larger islands and up to 55 smaller ones.
These offer a varied landscape composed of granite, inlets, beaches and rolling hills as well as sparkling clear waters, which are ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving. The main island of La Maddalena is famous for its natural beauty, such as Spalmatore Beach (10-minute drive), the fjord of Cala Francese (10 minutes) and the Via Padule (8 minutes) which leads to the Eagle's Nest and Punta Tegge.
To the north are the beaches of Bassa Trinita (9 minutes), Cala Lunga (11 minutes) and Monti d’Arena (9 minutes), famous for their white dunes and wind-sculpted rocks. The archipelago has a fascinating history, including its stand against Napoleon and as the final home of the Italian hero Giuseppe Garibaldi, who lived and died on the island of Caprera, joined to Maddelena by a bridge - Passo della Moneta. The town of La Maddalena, the only one in the archipelago, has grocery stores, restaurants and bars to suit all budgets.
The weekly Wednesday market is the best place to pick up local ingredients to cook at home. The car ferry for La Maddalena leaves from Palau, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Olbia airport if you are hiring a car locally.
If you are bringing your own car, then Palau port is 1 hour and 25 minutes from Olbia port.
The port of Santa Teresa Gallura is just 30 minutes away.
