Masseria Pittore is a stunning villa for 7 in the heart of Puglia, a region famous for its Trulli, unspoiled landscape and pristine beaches. The house is a charming combination of traditional vaulted ceilings with contemporary finishes. The stone walls guarantee that the rooms do not get too hot during the summer months. With a delightful private pool and terrace, it is the ideal spot where friends or family can escape and relax in the sun.
The spacious interior is separated into two sections. The original stone masseria, where guests can relax in the large living/dining area, and the newer extension with floor-to-ceiling windows, which brings the outside world into the house. The entrance leads into the extensive living area furnished with sofas, a flat-screen TV and a dining table. The main kitchen leads off this room and is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, Nespresso machine and a fridge/freezer. This kitchen opens onto the veranda-style extension, where guests can relax in another seating area, with a flat-screen TV, and use the kitchenette to prepare food for casual meals al fresco. The stone kitchenette has a cooker hob, pizza oven, BBQ grill, Nespresso machine and a sink.
Glass doors lead directly from the extension to the terrace, where guests can relax on comfortable sofas and chairs, shaded by a large umbrella. From here parents can easily supervise their children in the fenced-off swimming pool area. In the pool area there are sun-loungers and further seating.

Location
A 40-minute drive from the centre of Bari, the villa is set in quiet surroundings. It is 10 minutes from the lovely town of Conversano, which is known for its medieval castle, winding lanes and delicious cherries that are grown in the orchards surrounding the town. It is just 7km from the coast, so guests can get the best of both worlds - stunning history and the pristine Adriatic beaches. One of the most striking beaches in Italy is Lama Monachile, Polignano a Mare (22 minutes). The white sandy beach is small but the water is clear and a great place for snorkelling.
Not to be missed is Alberobello (35 minutes) which looks like something from a fairytale. It is a town of Trulli - the small, conical houses only found in this part of Italy and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famous for championing the Slow Food movement, the restaurants and cafés are a must.
Shops, cafés and other amenities are all within easy reach. Conversano’s vibrant, weekly market (Friday morning from 7.30am) is the best place to pick up the best local produce to cook at home.
The closest airport is at Bari, a 45-minute drive from the house.
