NO7 - YARE - RIVER LODGE HOUSEBOAT - GREAT FISHING SPOT
NO FISHING 15 MARCH - 16 JUNE
7 of 8 houseboats
£25 each for dogs
From Sept 1st we no longer offer row boats, but canoe man is on site for rentals, visit their website and prebook or book on arrival

THIS IS A RIVER LODGE HOUSEBOAT WITH A NON ACCESSIBLE JULIETTE BALCONY
(Please Note Carefully: Broad Lodge Houseboats 2 - Filby, 4 - Hickling, 6 - Salhouse, 8 - Wroxham have larger more accessible balconies as illustrated in the photographs)

Set in their own relatively private and quiet area, our houseboats are the ideal location on the River Ant to experience the beauty and tranquillity the area has to offer. The Broads is home to a huge variety of the rarest wildlife - greater than any other national park in Britain - and the stunning landscape has become a ‘must-see’ for visitors.

Our newly refurbished houseboats sleep up to 4 guests. Dog friendly
(dogs must be kept on leads when they are outside of the boat at all times)

The main living area offers a deceptively spacious lounge/dining area, with tv, dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen.

There is a double bedroom and also a twin bedroom, each sleeping 2 guests, and each with views out to the water.

Parking is included (up to 2 cars) and the location is perfect for easy access to many attractions in the area by car or bicycle. So, whether you are just looking for a quiet stay at the waters-edge, maybe to include some fishing, or wish to take advantage of the local beaches, adventure parks, theatres, castles, historic houses, lighthouses and much more, this is the perfect place for you.

In summary, the modern interior and exceptional location of our houseboats provide everything you could need for an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Please be aware that there can be slight noise at times caused by the natural movement of the water which can cause the houseboat to rock against the bank to which it is shored

You will also have the support of our dedicated team here at Norfolk Holiday Rentals for advice and assistance if needed.

Life Jackets provided, however
PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT provide life jackets for children under one and a half years

PLEASE BE AWARE: THE DAMAGE WAIVER IS MANDATORY FOR EVERY RESERVATION & NON REFUNDABLE.

FISHING INFO
NO FISHING 15 MARCH - 16 JUNE
The River Ant. The Ant is unique as it is the only Broadland 1 river which actually feeds a broad. It enters at the northern end of Barton Broad, where one may take the courses upstream by boat to Honing Lock and floods in and out at the southern end, giving the broad colour and an ever-changing circulation of fish. Particularly roach and bream

Fishing here can be rewarding during the winter months, but sessions in summer should be kept to late evening or early morning as the boat traffic may prove frustrating even this far upriver, bank access being extremely limited. About half a mile downriver from Tonnage Bridge, Dilham Cut joins the main stream from the southern bank. There is good fishing all the way up this navigable channel to Taylers at the top end, where navigation ceases at the road bridge carrying the Honing to Dilham road. Species to be found here are shoals of medium-sized bream to 4 lb. rudd, perch, fair roach and numerous pike.

Fishing licences are required for every angler aged 12 years and over, for use of a maximum of two rods on each occasion.

PLEASE BE AWARE: THE DAMAGE DEPOSIT WAIVER IS MANDATORY FOR EVERY RESERVATION. Please remember to click this box to include the cost in your booking. Don`t worry if you forget, we can add the £35 to your reservation at our end

CCTV Notice
For the safety and security of our guests and property, please be aware that external CCTV cameras are in operation around the outside of the houseboats. These cameras do not cover any private or internal areas.

Fantastic

Unique stay

From verified guest, Aug 2026, United Kingdom 🇬🇧

Similar to a static caravan, just on the water! Loved being able to watch the wildlife swimming by in lovely clear waters.

Being a dog-friendly accomodation, the doggy smell was a bit strong in the entryway and the sofa was heavily covered in dog hair. But the property was clean otherwise.

We all enjoyed our stay and booked our day boat and restaurant based on the information we were sent which was very helpful. Peaceful stay and loved the ducks and swans who came right up to the doors. Recommend it

accessing the site was really easy and straightforward - excellent communication, extensive clear notices around the property so we knew where everything was. Well equipped houseboat - had everything we needed and more. With heating on, it was warm and plenty of hot water/showers etc. Great place to have a break!
