Nueva is a very busy town in the summer, with a main street where you can find grocery stores, bars, cider houses, a bakery, a pharmacy, a tobacco shop, etc.
On Saturday mornings, the traditional market is held with stalls selling food, clothes, and crafts.
Throughout the summer, several patron saint festivals of cultural and ethnographic interest are celebrated.
In Nueva, you will find various gastronomic options to taste traditional cuisine.
It is a town with a lot of activity in the summer, on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and with several beaches nearby.
Access to the highway is just a couple of minutes away. You can take short excursions of less than an hour to the coast of Llanes and Ribadesella, as well as their inland towns, or visit their villages, or discover places of interest such as Lagos and the Royal Site of Covadonga, Cabrales, Picos de Europa National Park, Oviedo, Gijón, and Avilés within an hour's drive. It is recommended to arrive by car, although Nueva has a FEVE train station and a bus stop with connections to Oviedo/Gijón/Santander in Llanes and Ribadesella.
Car and bicycle rentals are possible; please inquire before arrival.
