Nestled on the edge of historic Coombs woodland in the middle of Langham Hall Estate, Cosgrove Cottage provides an idyllic retreat for couples, families and groups of up to 7 people. This newly refurbished Victorian cottage has four bedrooms: one ensuite master, two doubles (or an extra twin depending on preference) and a single. One of doubles is also downstairs. There are three beautifully appointed bathrooms, a fully-fitted dining kitchen including a wine fridge and coffee machine. The dual aspect, panelled living room with bay window and French doors to outdoor terrace has a fireplace with wood burner, sumptuous furnishing and large smart TV.
Outdoors, the woodland garden offers guests plenty of private space for dining alfresco and family fun. There are two sheltered terraces, a large deck with lighting, a firepit and gas BBQ.
Langham Hall is situated in Dedham Vale, often referred to as "Constable Country," is a stunning area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) located in the Essex-Suffolk border. Known for its idyllic landscapes, rolling hills, meandering rivers, and picturesque villages, the region is closely associated with the renowned artist John Constable, whose famous paintings, like The Hay Wain, capture its tranquil beauty.
What makes Dedham Vale special is its unspoiled countryside, rich with wildlife and history. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the River Stour, explore the medieval villages of Dedham and Flatford, or visit the Constable Country Visitor Centre, which provides insights into Constable's life and work. For those interested in outdoor activities, there are opportunities for cycling, fishing, and boating along the river.
For guests at Langham Hall Estate, the surrounding area offers a wealth of experiences. A visit to Flatford Mill, where Constable painted some of his most famous works, is a must. The nearby village of Dedham is perfect for a leisurely stroll, with charming cafes, galleries, and pubs offering local fare. Additionally, the Essex & Suffolk countryside is ideal for hiking and birdwatching, while art lovers can explore the Dedham Vale Society and other local art exhibitions.
Whether it's a peaceful escape or an active adventure, Dedham Vale provides the perfect setting for a memorable stay.

Absolutely stunning cottage in peaceful surrounding with excellent facilities. Kitchen was really well equipped and the hob/oven was easy to operate. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were perfect. We meet the host as we checked in who gave us a tour and answered all our questions. We all said we would happily stay again.

Beautiful property, immaculate decor, fixtures and fittings. Facilities excellent, and location is perfect for a quiet retreat but close enough to walk to the local pub, The Swan, delightful!
