This pleasant air-conditioned vacation rental with a heated pool for 6 people is located in Maubec in the Luberon (Vaucluse department).
You will stay in the center of the village, 500 meters from the nearest bakery.
Dream and exotic holidays await you in this small, typically Provençal village!
Maubec is a perched medieval village, located between the Luberon and the Calavon plain.
It is an ancient city dating back to the 12th century.
You can discover, among other things, the remains of the important fortification of the old town and the Château de Maubec.
At the top of the village, you can discover charming authentic houses during beautiful walks in a green setting.
Remnants of the past will also delight your eyes: stone niches, vaulted passageways, cobbled alleys, wells, and norias, including a remarkable one.
During your holidays in Maubec, you can also admire an 18th-century Belfry, an 18th-century Church, rock-cut tombs on the outskirts of the old church, and two Gallo-Roman burials dating back to the 2nd century, supporting the theory of an occupation of the plain already at that time.
The village of Maubec benefits from a good geographical location, ideal for visiting the Luberon (Cavaillon - Gordes axis) and Provence (A7 motorway Aix-en-Provence - Avignon).
For the more sporty, from this vacation rental, numerous hiking trails are available to discover the Luberon, on foot, by bike, or even on horseback.
There is also a public tennis court in Maubec, a golf course in Saumane (10 km), and the Petit Palais equestrian center in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
You can also go to Coustellet, which is less than a 10-minute drive away, to visit its famous farmers' market.
Local producers gather there on Sunday mornings and bring you the best products from Provence.
You will find fruits and vegetables, honey, flowers, and of course... the southern accent.
The nearest major cities are: Avignon 25 km, Cavaillon 10 km, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue 15 km, Gordes 18 km, and Aix-en-Provence 75 km.
