This pleasant holiday rental with swimming pool for 8 people is located in Maubec in the heart of the Luberon (Vaucluse department), around 2 km from the shops and village centre.
With its enchanting setting, quality facilities and proximity to the most beautiful villages in the Luberon, this house is perfect for a family holiday.
Maubec is a perched medieval village located between the Luberon and the alluvial plain of the Cavalon, close to the small town of Cavaillon, and between the villages of Robion and Oppède.
At the top of the village, you can discover restored houses with niches, vaulted passageways, calladed lanes, wells or norias (one of which is remarkable and is currently being restored).
During your holiday in Maubec, you will also be able to admire an 18th-century belfry, an 18th-century church and rock tombs in the vicinity of the former church, which was located near an access to the current municipal campsite to the south of the old village.
Two Gallo-Roman tombs dating from the 2nd century have also been discovered, supporting the theory that the plain was already occupied at this time.
The village is ideally situated for visiting the Luberon (Cavaillon - Gordes axis) and Provence (A7 Aix-en-Provence - Avignon motorway).
There are plenty of activities nearby, including public tennis at Maubec, golf courses at Châteaublanc (20 km) and Saumane (10 km), and the Petit Palais riding centre at Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
You can also visit the famous farmers' market at Coustellet, less than 10 minutes away by car. Local producers gather on Sunday mornings to bring you the best of Provence. You'll find fruit and vegetables, honey, flowers and, of course, a southern accent.
The nearest major tourist attractions are : Gordes (6 km), Fontaine de Vaucluse (8 km), Les Baux and Saint Rémy de Provence (20 km).

- A terrace shaded by an arbour near the pool
The building forms an L-shape, comprising 2 flats. One wall adjoins the house of the owners' mother (an elderly person living alone).
