Once a fishing village, Saint-Raphaël is now a sports and cultural city as well as a popular seaside resort for tourists. The city offers a great diversity of landscapes and activities, divided between the old town, the various ports and beaches and the natural park of Estérel, where hiking and cycling are numerous.The city stretches over 36 kilometres of coastline and offers thirty sandy or pebble beaches, from the city centre to the far reaches of the Alpes-Maritimes. With all the pleasures of water activities such as sailing, swimming, fishing and diving, walks along the water, as well as a maritime archaeological museum. You can also discover many cultural places such as the old town, the Romanesque church of Saint-Rafeu, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Victoire or the Bonaparte garden.In Fréjus, there is also the nature base François léotard (outdoor sports complex with many events in the summer).
