During your stay in this chalet, nestled in an oak wood on the Causse overlooking the village of Penne and its medieval fortress, you can enjoy your vacation surrounded by nature.
Ideal for a family vacation or a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, you'll be in the heart of the woods, a bit alone in the world. The chalet is located on the Causse de Magrou, on the edge of the Grésigne forest and the Aveyron Gorges, offering a diverse range of outdoor activities: hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, and fishing. Below, the village of Penne and its fortress clinging to the rocky peak are waiting to be discovered; the fortress can be visited after impressive renovations.
Beyond the Grésigne forest lies the Albigensian Bastide Country and the Gaillac vineyards.
You can explore the hilltop villages of Puycelsi, Castelnau-de-Montmiral, and the ancient fortified town of Cordes-sur-Ciel.
Further up the Aveyron, you'll find the magnificent villages of Saint-Antonin Noble-Val (a lovely market on Sunday mornings) and Najac, also dominated by an imposing medieval castle. Just a little further, don't miss the discovery of Albi and its Episcopal City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You'll appreciate the beauty of these sites, the quality of life, and the gastronomy of the Southwest. This practical and functional wooden chalet, with its meticulous finishes, comfortably accommodates four people.

Gîte bien équipé et fonctionnel, très calme car isolé dans les collines proches de Penne, dans les bois.Terrasse très agréable.Propreté irréprochable.Un petit bémol sur la literie, matelas basique en mousse un peu trop mous à mon avis: attention au mal de dos !

Petit gite agréable en bordure de forêt, idéal pour un séjour au calme. Le gite est bien équipé et la terrasse couverte offre un espace supplémentaire très appréciable. A deux avec un grand chien nous avons apprécié notre long week-end.
