A city with subtle and profound charm, which combines quality of life, cultural dynamism and economic development.
The garden of the Bishopric, designed by André Le Nôtre in the pure tradition of 17th century French classicism, is composed of a bed of embroidery and majestically highlights the former Episcopal Palace which now houses the Goya Museum .
Second museum of Hispanic art after the Louvre, the latter houses a unique collection of works by Spanish painters.
Historically, one of the greatest tribunes that France has known was born on the soil of Castres: Jean Jaurès.
The museum of the same name retraces the historical and political history of this extraordinary man.
In the center, many mansions dating from the 17th century have retained their timbering.
Castres is also a stop on the way to Santiago de Compostela.
