The Cordais plateau, a delightful place for a holiday, located between Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel.
From the Episcopal City, the road climbs, leaving the banks of the Tarn behind to reach the plateau.
The landscape changes entirely; the soil becomes limestone, and the stones are pure white.
Numerous villages dot the landscape, including Mailhoc, overlooked by its medieval castle. This is an independent house overlooking fields of cereals or sunflowers.
Upon entering, you are greeted by a majestic stone staircase with steps worn by centuries. - To your left, you'll find a washing machine and a shower room with a toilet and sink. - To your right, a very large kitchen/dining room where you can share meals around a beautiful wooden table. Continuing on, there is a living room with a television and board games. * The kitchen is equipped with an oven, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric mixer, immersion blender, and potato masher. - Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, a shower room, and a separate toilet. Bathed in light, the first bedroom offers a beautiful space with its French ceiling and a 160x200cm bed.
Two other bedrooms have two single beds of 90cm, ideal for children. - On the second floor, the fourth bedroom is full of charm with its beautiful mullioned window and a 160x200cm bed. Exterior: A closed courtyard at the front, meaning an enclosed garden of approximately 150m².
Adjacent to the house is an old barn of 85m², housing a ping-pong table and providing a sheltered spot for meals, protected from the heat (or rain!).
There is a terrace with a pergola and garden furniture.
Pétanque balls and Molkky game are available.
Parking is easy next to the gîte, in front of the courtyard.
The old barn can store bicycles and scooters.
Bed linen is provided, and beds are made upon your arrival. Located in the hamlet of La Carrayrié, your gîte is a typical master house of the Cordais plateau, a former outbuilding of the castle, with some parts dating back to the 17th century! Entirely built of white stone, its facade is adorned with an impressive Virginia creeper that displays shimmering colors in autumn.
Bed linen is provided, and beds are made upon your arrival. - End-of-stay cleaning: €80 - Towel linen: €5 per person

Propriétaires agréables qui ont rénové cette ancienne bâtisse en un magnifique gîte spacieux tout confort (grandes chambres, vieilles pierres, parquet ancien tout y est!) Situé entre Cordes sur Ciel et Albi on profite de la campagne sans être trop loin des commodités et lieux touristiques. Idéal également avec un chien le jardin est clôturé.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjours dans ce gîte magnifique avec notre famille et nos chiens. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et leur gîte est bien décoré et équipé, rien ne manque pour un séjour agréable que ce soit en cuisine ou pour se divertir; jeux de sociétés,table de ping-pong, pétanque....
