Unwind in the natural setting in the shade of a 200-year-old oak tree with boulders accenting the landscape surrounded by Sierra Nevada mountain views. This lovingly owner-managed property will perfectly suit a variety of guests: the family looking for a sprawling space to play and make memories, a group of friends connecting with nature needing that restful space to recharge between adventures, or a couple seeking a romantic escape. Furry family members are also welcome!
With a curated designer interior, room to spread out, extra-comfortable accommodations, a bubbling hot tub, an exquisite mountain backdrop, and all the amenities one could wish for, this property will be an ideal place to gather together.

Located in the tranquil countryside of Ahwahnee, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this location is a 45-minute drive to the Yosemite National Park South Gate Entrance in Fish Camp.
Yosemite National Park draws visitors from all over the world for its famed rock formations, rock climbing, cliffs, expansive wilderness, meadows, mountains, glaciers, streams, lakes, and of course- the awe-inspiring groves of giant sequoia.
The home is situated between the historical Gold Rush towns of Mariposa & Oakhurst. Each offers many attractions and a range of dining options. The neighborhood is safe and quite. The car traffic is minimal, and is possible to go for a walk using local roads that are not paved.
*Yosemite El Portal Entrance & Yosemite Valley: 1 hour
*Bass Lake Recreational Area: 30 minutes
*Oakhurst: 20 minutes
*Mariposa: 30 minutes
Visitors must have their own vehicle. The home is situated on a secluded five acres. The last 1.5-mile drive to the house is on a dirt road.
Fresno Airport (FAT): 1.5 hours
No public or taxi transportation in the area can replace car transportation and get to the house.
The host is happy to recommend a private chef who can come to the property for special events such as birthday celebrations, anniversaries, and other occasions. The host will also share suggestions for area activities, shopping, and restaurants to visit.
Mid stay cleanings are offered by request for an extra fee.
Pets are welcome: guests are required to pick up after them. Please keep pets on leash. The property is not fenced, and wildlife encounters are possible- including rattlesnakes.
All of the soundings of Yosemite National Park including urban areas have the component of wildlife. Some of the local animals that can be observed on a daily basis include deer, turkeys, squirrels, hawks, and rabbits. Not as common animals to see but living in the area are coyotes, bears, mountain lions, raccoons, opossum, skunk, rattlesnakes, tarantulas, and scorpions. Poison oak and poison ivy are also elements of local flora.
The home has exterior cameras directed at the parking area.
Power outages may happen in this area from time to time. The home is not equipped with a generator. If a power outage occurs, the appliances, water, and heating & cooling will not work until power is restored.
Please be aware that due to our mountain location, weather conditions can change rapidly. It is highly recommended that guests have a 4WD vehicle with winter tires in the winter months or carry snow chains with them.
Also, due to our delicate ecosystem and the high risk of wildfires, outdoor fires are not permitted between May and October.
